How it works

  1. 1. Upload. Choose a JPG, PNG, or WebP reference up to 20 MB. Sharp focus, clear tonal separation, and a simple background stencil most reliably. Pause on blurry, dark, or busy photos: soft edges, crushed shadows, and cluttered backgrounds produce uncertain lines and merged landmarks.
  2. 2. Crop. Crop tightly around the subject you want tattooed and exclude extra faces, hands, text, and background clutter. Position, resize, zoom, and rotate so the important landmarks fill the frame with breathing room for transfer and placement.
  3. 3. Choose detail. Pick Simple for small, curved, or silhouette-first work, Standard for medium pieces that need several stable landmarks, and Detailed only when the piece is large enough to keep extra structure readable. Judge at the final tattoo size, not full screen.
  4. 4. Generate and review. Press Generate, sign in if needed, then compare the stencil with your reference before download. Check likeness, lettering, small landmarks, and line density at final size. Download the PNG, which is also saved to your account. A technical failure before completion can retry automatically without consuming the free stencil.
