Tattoo Placement Measurement Sheet Maker

Turn placement measurements you already decided during consultation or fitting into one clean studio sheet. Record the target footprint, body area, orientation, artist-defined landmarks, design state and short notes, then download an A4 or US Letter PDF.

Placement and size

1. Placement

Record the footprint you already chose

This tool records artist decisions. It does not recommend body area, size, orientation, or anatomy.

Side

Intended design size

Enter the placement footprint you decided elsewhere.

Need to calculate or print the actual 1:1 stencil? Use Size & Print after this record; this sheet does not resize artwork.

4. Export

Download the studio handoff

The PDF is generated locally. Downloaded files are the persistence and handoff mechanism; this tool does not create a client record.

Record the decision

Keep size and placement context together after the consultation ends.

A width alone is easy to misread later. A placement sheet keeps the intended footprint beside body area, side, orientation, design version and the exact reference measurements the artist chose to record.

01 Footprint

Record the chosen width and height, not a recommended size

The sheet stores the dimensions you already selected. If you still need to determine true physical size or produce a 1:1 print, use the separate Size & Print tool.

02 Landmarks

Name reference points the way your studio actually uses them

A label such as “distance from elbow crease” is artist-defined metadata. The tool does not assume that one anatomical landmark is correct for every placement.

03 Design state

Preserve which version and mirror state the measurements belong to

A version label and optional thumbnail make the sheet recognizable without creating version history, approval signatures, or a client record.

04 Handoff

Let the exported file be the persistence layer

Nothing is stored in a cloud workspace by this tool. The PDF is designed to be printed, saved with a project, or handed to a colleague as the durable record.

Measurement is not placement advice

The sheet describes what you recorded. It does not decide where a tattoo belongs.

Body area, side, orientation, circumference and landmark distances are metadata supplied by the artist. The tool does not infer anatomy, recommend dimensions, judge symmetry, or convert a photo into body measurements.

Need body fitting?

Fit the stencil visually first

Use Fit to Body when the job is visual wrap, taper or body-line fitting. Record the resulting decision here afterward.

Need an axis check?

Check alignment separately

The Centerline Checker compares a design with an artist-chosen photo axis. This sheet only records the chosen placement context.

Need true-size output?

Size and print the stencil separately

Use Size & Print to calculate physical output and create a 1:1 PDF. The placement sheet is a planning record, not a print file.

Strict scope

A technical placement record, not a client-management document.

Project reference is optional and can stay anonymous. There are no names, contacts, medical fields, signatures, consent, booking, payment, reminders, or history.

T05 intentionally stops at placement geometry and handoff. The Design Approval Sheet owns the selected artwork and review state; a future session-reference sheet should own the final operational reference used during the session. This tool does not absorb those jobs.

If you are still comparing revisions, use Version Compare before recording which version these measurements belong to. Changing a version label here does not create approval history.

Need exact-size output next?

Keep the placement record and the print file as separate artifacts.
