Calculate
Choose the pricing mode that matches your actual workflow: fixed project, hourly, day, session or artist-entered range.
Free tattoo studio workflow tool
Turn the rates, minimums, sessions, fees and deposit rules you already use into a clear internal calculation and a client-facing estimate or fixed quote. Nothing here decides what your work should cost.
Tattoo project pricing
Use only the rates, minimums, split and project assumptions you actually choose. The tool does not suggest what a tattoo should cost.
Step 1
Estimate first when uncertainty is real
The builder keeps uncertainty visible instead of collapsing an hourly or multi-session range into false precision. Use a fixed Quote only when the final client amount is one number you intentionally entered or accepted.
01
Choose the pricing mode that matches your actual workflow: fixed project, hourly, day, session or artist-entered range.
02
Keep studio split, internal costs, overrides and internal notes away from the client-facing document unless you deliberately expose calculation lines.
03
Add scope, assumptions, exclusions and the condition that would trigger a revised estimate, then copy text or export the current version as PDF.
Internal arithmetic is not market pricing
The tool is useful only because it stays deterministic: your inputs go in, your arithmetic comes out.
StencilStudio does not fetch local tattoo prices, infer a rate from placement or size, or decide whether a design deserves a multiplier. Blank inputs stay blank until you enter them.
Optional split and internal-cost fields can help you inspect the economics of the project you priced, but the result after entered cost is deliberately not labelled profit. It excludes taxes and every expense you did not enter.
For production economics around physical stencil output, keep that job separate and use the Tattoo Stencil Printing Cost Calculator.
Browser-local by design
The builder stores saved quotes and pricing presets in the current browser only. It does not need a login or a cloud client record.
A first name and project context are enough for the artifact. Do not turn the internal notes field into a medical, consent or identity record.
Nothing leaves the browser unless you copy the client text or download a PDF and then choose where to send or store it.
Questions
The boundaries matter as much as the arithmetic.
No. Every rate, minimum, session price, fixed amount, fee, discount, deposit, split and cost comes from you. The tool performs arithmetic and document formatting only; it does not supply market-price defaults.

Quote Builder owns artist-defined project economics. Design review and stencil production stay separate so price, creative approval and output state do not blur together.
