Licenses and permits

Pasadena Public Health requires every artist working a temporary body-art event to register as a Body Art Practitioner, and each temporary-event booth must hold a health permit. The city's FY2026 fee schedule lists $108 for annual practitioner registration and $300 for a temporary-event booth permit. Confirm with the organizer which booth-permit filing and fee are already being handled for the expo.

Pasadena's body-art program requires annual bloodborne-pathogen training and documentation of Hepatitis B vaccination status. Pasadena Public Health also inspects temporary-event booths; artists should make sure their practitioner documents are complete before arriving.
